This article shows the steps to export your Claude chat history from Anthropic.
Step 1: Open your profile
Go to claude.ai and log in to your account. Click your profile name in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.
Step 2: Go to Settings
Click Settings.
Step 3: Export your data
Click Privacy in the left sidebar, then click the Export data button under "Your data."
Step 4: Choose a time range and export
Select a time range: All, 30 days, 90 days, or Custom. The export will include your Conversations, Users, and Projects. Click Export.
An "Export started" notification appears in the top-right corner. Check your email for a download link from Anthropic. This export is typically ready almost immediately. The link expires in 24 hours.
Save the downloaded file to your computer.
Step 5: Check email and download your export
Open the email from Anthropic titled "Your data is ready for download." Click Download Data.
A confirmation page appears and your file begins downloading automatically. Save it to your computer.
