This article shows the steps to export your Gemini chat history from Google using Google Takeout.
Step 1: Go to Google Takeout
Go to takeout.google.com and log in to your Google account.
Step 2: Deselect all products
By default, all Google products are selected. Click Deselect all to clear them.
The counter should show "0 of 65 selected."
Step 3: Select Gemini
Scroll down the product list and check the box next to Gemini.
The counter should show "1 of 65 selected." Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Next step.
Step 4: Configure export settings
Set destination to "Send download link via email" and file type to ".zip." Click Create export.
Step 5: Wait for your export
Google will create a copy of your Gemini data. This may take anywhere from a few minutes to several days. You will receive an email when the export is ready to download. Save the downloaded file to your computer.
Step 6: Check email and download your export
Open the email from Google Takeout titled "Your Google data is ready to download." Click Manage Google Takeout request.
On the Google Takeout page, click Download to save the file to your computer.
