This article shows the steps to export your ChatGPT chat history from OpenAI so it can be uploaded through Hearsay.
Step 1: Open your profile
Go to chatgpt.com and log in to your account. Click your profile name in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.
Step 2: Go to Settings
Click Settings.
Step 3: Export your data
Click Data controls in the left sidebar, then click the Export button next to "Export data."
Step 4: Confirm export
Review the export details, then click Confirm export.
A confirmation banner appears. OpenAI will email you when the export is ready to download. Processing may take up to a few days. The download link expires 24 hours after you receive it.
Step 5: Check email and download your export
Open the email from OpenAI confirming your data export is ready. Click Download data export. Save the downloaded file to your computer. Do not unzip the file.
