Connect your Yahoo account using the Upload Portal at upload.usehearsay.com so your emails can be collected. Yahoo requires an app password, which you create in your Yahoo security settings first. You can do this from your phone; you don't need a computer.
If you already have a Yahoo app password, skip to Step 6.
Step 1: Open your Yahoo security settings
Go to login.yahoo.com/myaccount/security and sign in.
Step 2: Click External connections
It is in the left menu of the Security page.
Step 3: Click Create app password
The button is under External connections.
Step 4: Name the app and generate the password
Enter any name (for example, Hearsay) and click Generate password.
Step 5: Copy the app password
Copy the app password and leave this tab open until your account is connected, in case you need it again.
Step 6: Select Yahoo Mail in the Upload Portal
On the Emails step, select Yahoo Mail.
Step 7: Click "I've created my app password"
This opens the credential form.
Step 8: Enter your email and app password
Enter your Yahoo email address and the app password from Step 5, then click Connect to Account.
Connection failed (400)
If you see "connection failed (400)", you entered your normal Yahoo password instead of an app password. Create an app password using the steps above and enter that instead.
