Review text messages, WhatsApp conversations, photos, videos, voicemails, contacts, and call logs collected from a phone backup in Case Data.

Messages are listed by conversation with the contact name, message preview, date, and message count.

Select a phone source in Data Sources, then click Messages. Each row shows the contact name or phone number, a preview of the last message, the date, and a message count badge. Rows may also show tag chips for applied tags. Use Search conversations to find a specific contact or keyword, or click Filter by tag to narrow the list. Click a conversation to open it.

The conversation view shows the full message history with sender names, timestamps, and message text.

Click a conversation to read it. Each message shows the sender, date and time, and full text, along with any images, videos, or attachments. Click a specific message to open the Evidence Panel on the right, which shows the selected message text, any applied tags, and a Comments section for adding notes.

The toolbar above the conversation provides search, navigation, translation, commenting, printing, and tagging tools. Click the gear icon to open View Settings. See How do I use review tools? for a full guide to each toolbar feature.

Voicemails are listed with the contact name, date, duration, and a transcript preview.

Select a phone source, then click Voicemail. Each row shows the contact name or phone number, the date and time, duration, and a preview of the automatic transcription. Use Search by contact or transcript to find a specific voicemail. Click Comments to add notes. Click a voicemail to expand it and play the audio.

Contacts are the address book entries collected from the phone.

Select a phone source, then click Contacts to see the full contact list. Each row shows the contact name and phone number. Use the alphabet index on the left to jump to a letter, or search with Search contacts. Click Show owner details to view the phone owner's information, or Download CSV to export the contact list.

Media includes all photos and videos from the device's camera roll.

Select a phone source, then click Photos and Videos. Filter by All, Photos, or Videos using the tabs at the top. Toggle between grid and list views with the icons in the top right. In list view, each file shows its name, type, size, and date. Use Search photos and videos to find a specific file. Click a thumbnail or row to open the file, or click the download icon to save it.

WhatsApp conversations use the same review interface as Messages.

Select a phone source, then click WhatsApp to browse conversations. Each row shows the contact name, message preview, date, and message count. Click a conversation to open it. The Evidence Panel, toolbar, and all review tools work the same way.

Call logs show the phone call history from the device.

Select a phone source, then click Call Logs to see all recorded calls. Filter by call type and export to CSV or PDF. See How do I review call logs? for the full guide.
