Pro Mode puts the whole New Case wizard on one page. Every field is the same as the guided setup; it is faster once you know the form.
Enable Pro Mode
Click Settings in the left sidebar. On the Profile tab, under Case Creation, check Pro mode. It takes effect the next time you click + New Case.
Step 1: Enter the case details
From My Cases, click + New Case. Enter a case name and, under Team Access, add anyone else who should see the case. Click Continue.
Step 2: Choose data sources
Check each source you want to collect. Financial sources need Plaid enabled on the Integrations page first; see How do I enable financial data collection (Plaid) on the Integrations page?.
Step 3: Set the collection mode and requested documents
Under Collection Mode, choose Manual (the custodian picks what to share), Auto Share (Hearsay collects everything matching your search terms), or Share All. If you checked Files & PDFs, list the documents you want under Documents, one per line.
For Auto Share, enter phone numbers, email addresses, or keywords, one per line. Check International numbers to include country codes and Exact match to match keywords exactly as typed.
Step 4: Set the date range
Choose Collect everything or Specific date range.
Step 5: Choose who receives the request
Select My Client to send the request straight to the custodian, or Opposing Counsel to route it through the other side's attorney first (see How do I send a collection request to opposing counsel?). Enter the contact details, add any Additional Services you need, and click Create Case.
Check Don't send email to custodian to create the extraction code without Hearsay emailing the invite, and Require client payment to send the custodian a payment link instead of charging the firm card on file.
Step 6: Track the request
The case opens on its Collection Requests page with the extraction code and each data source marked Pending.
Next steps
Use How do I manage collection requests? to track the request, and How do I edit an extraction code on the Collection Requests page? to change settings later.
