This guide explains how to access and review emails collected through the Hearsay platform. Once a custodian completes their email collection, the extraction code creator receives an automated email notification.
How to Review Collected Emails
Step 1: Log in
Go to app.usehearsay.com/login and log in to your account.
Step 2: Open the case
From your My Cases page, click the case name to open it.
Step 3: Select the email data source
Under Recent Uploads, click the email data source to open the collected emails. You can also click Case Data to view all extraction codes and data source statuses.
Step 4: Review collected emails
The review interface displays all collected emails for the selected email account.
Left sidebar: Lists all imported email threads with subject lines, dates, and attachment indicators. Use Email Search to find emails by keyword. Click any email to preview it.
Email preview: Shows the full email content, including sender, recipients, date, and body. Click Print to PDF for a quick single-email export, or click Compact View to condense the layout.
Navigation: Use the page controls at the bottom of the email list to browse through results (e.g., "1 to 25 of 29").
To return to the case, click Back to Case in the top left corner.
