The Direct File Upload step in the Upload Portal lets you upload documents your legal team requested. If your team listed specific files, you see a checklist with each item. You can also upload files that are not on the checklist.
The requested documents checklist
When your legal team has listed specific documents, the step shows a checklist with one row per requested item.
Each row shows a number, the document name, and an Add button. Filter chips at the top let you switch between All, Needed, and Handled to see which items still need files.
Step 1: Click Add on the document row
Click Add on the row for the document you want to upload.
Step 2: Choose Add File or Add Folder
Select Add File to attach a single file, or Add Folder to attach an entire folder.
Step 3: Select the file or folder
Browse your computer and select the file or folder.
Once a file is attached, the row expands to show the file name and size. The item's number badge changes to a checkmark and its count moves from Needed to Handled.
Attach the same file to another item
If the same file applies to more than one checklist item, click Also for on the attached file and select the additional items.
Upload files that are not on the checklist
You can also drop or choose files that are not listed on the checklist. Use the Choose button at the top of the page, or drag files directly onto the page.
Files uploaded this way land in an Uncategorized group at the top of the checklist. Each uncategorized file has a + Categorize button you can click to assign it to a checklist item.
Complete the step
As soon as any file is attached, the header button changes from Skip source to Next source.
Click Next source to move to the next step. You can come back to add more files at any time.
